I have been thinking a lot lately about ways we can save money. Being a stay at home mom means that we have a very tight budget! I always hear everyone talk about how couponing saves loads of money. But to be honest, I find it very frustrating. Almost everything I buy is fruits and veggies, and I have never seen any coupons for that! I try to make a lot of things from scratch to avoid high fructose corn syrup and disgusting preservatives! And...again...most of the coupons I see are just for that! I try to use coupons when I buy hygiene products and cleaning supplies, which does save some money. But I want to learn how to really make some big cuts in our budget. So, today I got on Amazon and ordered the above book. I got the used version, much cheaper than new, and hopefully I can learn the ins n' outs of money saving! Tuesday, April 27, 2010
just a little rambling...

Jessie, have you tried bountiful baskets? It's fruits and veggies that local farmers sell. You get a whole laundry basket or two small round baskets full for $15.00. I love it. Anyway, the website is www.bountifulbaskets.org. Just thought you might like it :)
So I think its only $18.00 the first time and then its $15.00 from then on. You can buy weekly or just whenever you want. The produce lasts us a couple weeks. I feel the same about couponing, its too stressful and time consuming!
oh I cant believe jentri is 18 mo time is flying by, I feel bad that some "mean nurse" poked holes in my little girl today! hope she doesnt have a bad reaction! I cant wait to see you all, I hope that book has lots of tips you can share with me!!! love ya
18 months already? Holy moly! She is such a doll. Let me know how you like that book. I could have written your section on groceries, lol.

Hey Jessie! I can't believe how big Jentri is getting! Don't worry about the biting...it's just a phase :) As for saving money, I have TONS of ways to do so. I've actually been thinking about volunteering to do a class for enrichment...we'll see. Anyway, I do WAY too much to tell you it all right here so maybe we can get together sometime and I'll show you :) Let me know.
